Sweaty Lips is a fun, sexy, informal show sprung from the sketchbooks of trans, interdisciplinary artist, MEJ. With the exception of a few finished pieces, the show was mostly pulled from the artist’s journals and sketchbooks from 2018. Now hung, they opaquely document their struggles, joys, hot sex, and personal growth since the new year.
This retrospective is intentionally presented as a radical celebration of trans bodies and queer sexuality. From fond memories to explicit porn, this work highlights the fierce joy of being trans and embracing one’s identity personally, physically, and sexually.
